I was born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 18, 1999 to the late George Smith and Angela Smith. I am the youngest of three children, under my twin sisters Alayna and Mariel. I've spent most of my life in Conyers, Georgia, where I spent my grade school years until I graduated with honors from Salem High School, where I played basketball, marched in the band (started in 8th grade) and participated in multiple organizations.
I chose Alabama State University because it allowed me to accomplish one goal: attend college for free. I was offered an academic and band scholarship, which covered all associated costs. That was a huge blessing considering my mom raised me by herself during my high school years.
During my time at ASU, I participated the marching band, the "Might Marching Hornets, became a sports editor for the school newspaper "The Hornet Tribune", and also joined the ASU Association of Black Journalists, where I serve as chapter president.
Additionally, I became a Spring 2020 initiate of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. During my time in the chapter, I've won a regional scholarship and was elected chapter president for the 2020-21 school year. I also became a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.
After graduation, I will be attending the University of Alabama to pursue a master's in Journalism, en route to becoming a renowned sports journalist.
